There are many factors that affect the centrifugal pump performance, such as liquid property, structure size of the pump as well as rotation speed of the pump. All the changes on these parameters, the performance of the pump will change.
1. The Effect of Liquid Materials
The first factor that affects centrifugal pump performance is the influence of the liquid to the centrifugal pump of the de-1000 decanter centrifuge both in density and viscosity. The flow and pressure of the centrifugal pump has nothing to do with the density of the liquid. And the efficiency will not change with the density of the liquid. However, the shaft power of the pump and the density of the liquid have direct connection. And when the viscosity of the transported liquid is larger than that of the normal temperature water, the power loss of the liquid inside of the pump will increase, leading to the reduction of the flow and pressure of the pump with the shaft power increasing.
2. The Influence of the Rotation Speed of the Centrifugal Pump
The second factor that affects the centrifugal pump performance is the rotation speed. When the rotation speed of the pump changes, the flow and pressure of the pump will change correspondingly, leading to the efficiency and power change. If the liquid has not large viscosity, the change of the efficiency is not obvious.
3. The Influence of the Diameter of the Impeller
The third factor that affects the centrifugal pump performance is the impeller diameter. When the rotation speed of the centrifugal pump is fixed, the flow and pressure of the pump will change according to the diameter of the impeller.
Another factor that affects the centrifugal pump performance is the maintenance of the valve. The not in time maintenance of the valve is able to cause the leakage or ineffective switch of the valve. If the valve is not check and pressure test frequently, or not washing for many years, it is possible to lead to the sundries setting inside of the pump. And using not oil resistance and pressure resistance material to manufacture flange spacer of the valve is a factor that affects centrifugal pump performance. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the check of the valve to take preventive measures. And the valve checking includes leakage on the valve rod and flange spaces, starting and closing state, damage and leakage on the valve, lube on the normally open or normally close valves as well as the power head and electrical system of the pneumatic valve.
